The idea of sustainability, the joy of design and the joy of craftsmanship gave me the idea of building new furniture from bulky waste. The discovery of bed slats from bed frames and the filigree ash wood slats from an old folding boat inspired me to create the armchair shown here. With the color scheme, I wanted to create a summery atmosphere even on gloomy winter days. To encourage people to build their own furniture from bulky waste, I deliberately used only simple tools for the construction.
